McLaren Group needed a structured, independent approach to worker compliance across a complex labour supply chain. Compliance. One delivered a UK-wide audit and assurance programme to help recruitment agencies work to a single, consistent Right to Work standard.
McLaren Group is a UK construction, property and development business delivering projects across commercial, residential, logistics, retail and public-sector environments. Multiple recruitment agencies supply temporary labour across its operations.
Different agency onboarding processes created inconsistencies in identity verification, document retention, repeat checks, visa and permit monitoring, and fraud-prevention controls. McLaren wanted better visibility of these processes and assurance that suppliers were meeting contractual and legislative obligations.
Senior members of the Compliance. One audit team assessed every supplying agency across ten worker-compliance areas:
This provided an evidence-based view of compliance across the supply chain. Every supplying agency was brought into an annual audit cycle to support continued assurance and early identification of risk.
Where the audit identified an issue, Compliance. One engaged directly with the agency, informed McLaren stakeholders and agreed a remediation plan. Corrective actions were then implemented and verified.
Regular compliance reports, risk escalation summaries, supplier performance insights and governance recommendations gave McLaren continuing visibility of its labour supply chain.
“Compliance. One has provided valuable assurance around the compliance of our labour supply chain. The audits not only confirmed areas where our existing controls are working well but also highlighted potential issues and areas for improvement. These have been actioned and have helped us further strengthen our processes and approach to compliance.”
